Detailed Description

Tsavo's red-earth landscapes are home to its famous "red elephants," dusted the colour of the surrounding soil, alongside lion, buffalo, and a wealth of birdlife across its two connected parks. From there, the route continues to Amboseli, where Mount Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peak forms one of Africa's most photographed backdrops to the park's dense elephant population. The itinerary closes with a return to Mombasa for a relaxed half-board evening before departure — or, for travelers with more time, this makes an easy extension into a full coastal stay.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo East

Meet and greet at Moi International Airport around 7:30am, then drive north to Tsavo East National Park, arriving in time for lunch at Salt Lick Safari Camp or similar, on a full-board basis. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in one of Kenya's largest parks, home to its famous red elephants. Overnight: Voi Wildlife Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West

After breakfast and check-out, drive to Tsavo West, arriving for lunch at Serena Kilaguni Lodge (full board). An afternoon game drive follows before returning to the lodge for dinner. Overnight at Kilaguni Lodge or similar.

Day 3: Full Day in Tsavo West

A full day of morning and afternoon game drives across Tsavo West's varied volcanic landscape, with lunch back at the lodge between drives. Overnight at Kilaguni Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Tsavo West – Amboseli

Depart for Amboseli National Park, set at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and known as the "Home of Elephants." Arrive in time for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon game drive as the sun sets over the mountain. Overnight: Sentrim Amboseli or similar.

Day 5: Amboseli – Mombasa

Depart Amboseli around 7:00am for the drive south to Mombasa, arriving late afternoon and checking into your city hotel on a half-board basis. Evening at leisure.

Day 6: Departure

Transfer to Moi International Airport for your international flight, timed according to your departure schedule.
