Detailed Description

Night game drives are only allowed in select conservancies surrounding the reserve, not inside the Maasai Mara National Reserve itself, so this itinerary is built around a conservancy stay to make the experience possible. Guided by experienced rangers with spotlights, expect sightings that rarely happen in daylight — lions on the move, leopards hunting, hyenas and other scavengers, and small nocturnal species — alongside a clear-sky opportunity for stargazing between wildlife sightings.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Afternoon Game Drive

Arrive at a private conservancy near the Maasai Mara and settle in, with an afternoon game drive to begin the safari. Overnight in the conservancy.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari & First Night Drive

A full day of game drives across the conservancy, followed by your first guided night drive with a spotlight-equipped vehicle and trained ranger. Overnight in the conservancy.

Day 3: Second Night Drive & Daytime Exploration

Continued daytime game viewing paired with a second night drive for a different route and set of sightings. Overnight in the conservancy.

Day 4: Final Game Drive & Departure
