The route opens in Tarangire, where dry-season elephant herds gather along the Tarangire River beneath towering baobab trees, then continues into the Serengeti for two full days of game drives across some of Africa's most storied grasslands. From there, a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater delivers one of the most concentrated wildlife experiences on the continent — lions, elephants, and often rhino, all within a single volcanic caldera. Optional add-ons include a hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti, cultural visits with local communities, and an extension to Zanzibar for travelers who want to close the trip on a beach.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania's safari gateway city, and settle in ahead of your journey into the northern circuit. Overnight in Arusha.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game drives among its famous elephant herds and iconic baobab-dotted landscape. Overnight near Tarangire.

Day 3–4: Serengeti National Park

Two full days of game drives across the Serengeti's endless plains, home to the Great Migration and consistently strong Big Five sightings. Overnight in the Serengeti.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
